Charis Center is dedicated solely to the treatment of eating disorders. The center brings comprehensive psychological, medical and nutritional services to patients in a warm and caring environment.

Our Mission

"Charis" , an ancient Greek word meaning grace, speaks clearly to the fulfillment of our mission, which includes prevention, early intervention and treatment of eating disorders.

Prevention

To promote the prevention of eating disorders through consultation to the educational and medical communities and to the community at large.

Early Intervention

To teach methods of identifying the signs and symptoms of eating disorders. To instruct how to provide appropriate help to the individual and effective referral for treatment.

Treatment

To provide a multidisciplinary approach to the evaluation, diagnosis, education and treatment of the psychological, physical and nutritional needs of those suffering from an eating disorder, while viewing the family as an integral part of the treatment process.
