Clarian Transplant has been performing lung transplants for nearly two dozen years. Lung Transplant Pioneer

Clarian has many "firsts" when it comes to lung transplants:

• The first single lung transplant in Indiana was performed at Methodist Hospital in 1989.
• Indiana's first bilateral sequential lung transplant was also performed here in 1991.
• In 1995, the Methodist Lung Transplant Program was among the first five Centers of Excellence chosen for Medicare approval for lung and heart/lung transplantation. (Methodist is part of Clarian.)
